This September, Python Meetup @ Sofia is back with a special movie night edition!
We’ll be watching Python: The Documentary – the story of how one of the world’s most beloved programming languages was born, almost disappeared, and then grew to power AI, Data Science, and some of the biggest companies in the world.

📖 About the Film:
Starting as a side project in Amsterdam in the 90s, Python has become a foundation for:

• 📊 Data Science
• 💼 Global tech giants

In this 90-minute documentary, you’ll hear first-hand from Guido van Rossum, Travis Oliphant, Barry Warsaw, and many others. They share how Python rose, how the community shaped it, the conflicts that nearly broke it apart, and the massive impact it has today.
